This page explains what information we collect when you visit jointeasedaily.com or buy one of our guides, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What we collect and why

When you visit the site

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are opened, roughly where visitors are (country and city, worked out from the IP address), what device and browser they use, and which site sent them. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. We use this to improve the page. We do not use it to identify you.

When you buy

Checkout takes place on Gumroad. Gumroad, Inc. is the merchant of record for the sale: it collects your payment, your email address, your country and any tax details, under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card number.

Gumroad shares with us what we need to serve you: your email address, your name if you gave one, your country, what you bought and when. We use it to deliver your files, answer your questions, handle refunds and keep the records the law requires.

When you write to us

We keep your email address and your message so we can answer you.

Emails from us

After a purchase you receive your receipt and download link. We may also send occasional updates about your guide or new guides. Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at mia@jointeasedaily.com.

3. Legal grounds (for visitors in the EU, EEA and UK)

• Contract: delivering what you bought and handling refunds.
• Legal obligation: keeping accounting records.
• Legitimate interest: answering messages, preventing fraud, understanding how the site is used.
• Consent: where the law requires it, for example for analytics cookies and marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the services that help us run the site:

• Gumroad, Inc. (checkout, payment, delivery of files, receipts)
• Google (Google Analytics)
• Our email and hosting providers (so the site and our mailbox work)
• Authorities and accountants, when the law requires it

Some of these companies are in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it is protected by the safeguards EU law provides, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

5. How long we keep it

• Order records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Messages: for as long as we need to handle your request and any follow-up.
• Analytics data: up to 14 months.

6. Cookies

The only cookies this site sets are those of Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works the same without them.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to how we use it and withdraw any consent you gave. Write to mia@jointeasedaily.com and we will answer within one month.

If you live in the EU, EEA or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority. In Romania this is ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).

If you live in California: we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined in California law.

8. Children

This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
